thought I'd update you all on where we are
with regards to the 2000 Clark Reunion that
will be hosted in New Orleans.
I just sent out a mass mailing of announcements of the reunion. If you would like to be included in the mailings, please forward your names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. If you are already in my contact database, you should receive your announcement before the end of the week.
I cannot emphasize how much we would love for everyone to attend. My contact database is made up of primarily the classes of 93+, but there are a number of attendees who are seeking former classmates and acquaintances of prior classes. I noticed in previous guestbook entries that several 'class of 90' graduates are interested in attending a class reunion... let's celebrate together! If any additional information is needed, feel free to hollar at me.
I haven't been able to obtain approval from everyone in my contact database listing to post their information on the website, so if you'd like to obtain a list of my contacts, email me.

I didn't get to graduate in '73 with all my friends as my dad got sent back in June of '72.. I was on the Falcon Crier staff in '72 as a junior. I remember having the hugest crushes on (not necessarily in order), Gina Volk (I took typing just to sit next to her), Jessie Wear (I absolutely adored her), Margaret Gouger (so sweet), Pam Groce (so cool), Teri Alger (just the sweetest girl), Vickie Jasper (my god she was developed for her age!), Skippy Strickland, Dreama Jersey, ahh, you get the picture. I thought Shawn Driscoll was just the coolest dude in school. I used to hang at the base gym with Tim and Kim Hammon (the twins) and John Walters. There are probably a bunch more people I forgot, but if anyone remembers Terry Lynch, a red headed freckled kid, e-mail me! |

| Comments: | Were we really that young? I just finished looking through the yearbook ( 1968 for the class of 71 ) and cannot believe how much we resemble the 'Wonder Years' or 'That 70s Show' cast. Some faces were familiar, some weren't. I enjoyed Clark AB. We were young and innocent. I am the oldest of 7 kids, the youngest being born at Clark in 1967. My brother Mike, also class of 71 died in 1976. My other brothers are Darrell, Donnie and Richard. My 2 sisters were youngest, their names being Janet and Deeanne. Where else in the world would you get out of school because an expansion project uncovered a WWII weapons storage area? And to be able to swim in December! And be able to play UNDER your house! Or have your biology teacher say ' look at all these fantastic new creatures' from a slide of water so foreign to someone who has lived stateside only. After we had shipped all our stuff back to the States in August 1968, we were sleeping on the floor and experienced our first earthquake. In the morning, we found out that an apartment building in Manila had collapsed, killing quite a few people. When going to the hospital to get our shots to go back to the U.S., we encountered many of the wounded coming out of Vietnam. Many were just 2 or 3 years older than me. And missing body parts. Clark changed me forever. There is no way I would ever give up the experience. And there is no way to convey the feelings these experiences have indelibly imprinted upon my soul except with someone who has lived there. Thank you for this great site. And a chance to shed 30 years-even if it is only temporary. Now if I could just shed 30 or more pounds-permanently! I'll have to check in to see if I might find someone I can remember. I won't be able to go back in Oct., but I hope everyone has a fantastic time! |

Leslie and Tammy and I were refered to as the three musketeers. I had my guitar with me all the time. I was Miss Airmans Club and participated in Operation Baby Lift as did most that was there at that time(wonderful learning experience for me), held the caution flags at the dirtbike races, was a clown, and many other things. I loved the PI. Life has never been the same since we left there and my dad retired. It was the most challenging time of my life. :-) Cheryl |

I met alot of people there and was looking to see if the name of kids who attended the schools sounded familiar. Thought maybe I could find their parents!!! | Comments: | I graduated in 1970 at Wanger HS. After graduation I married a GI, Ron Stephens, he was in the 405th Fighter Sq. We were married in the PI, Base Chapel. I had friends from school that were in my wedding party. I can't remember all there names, Except one, Brandy O'Leary. I would like to meet the other people that were in our wedding etc. We had several couples that were married after HS. and married a GI. We had lots of fun at Clark. It was the best time of our lives. Would love to hear from anyone. I was there in 1961,62,63,6, and I can still remember kids from grade school, but not any names. Who knows, I may have sat by you in class! |
