| Comments: | We arrived at Clark at the beginning of my Senior year at Wagner. I spent more time at the bus stop and away from school than in the class room. I do remember the Health presentation on birth control, falling off the horse at 9:00am, being allergic to the caterpillar that bit me, and Tracy dating my ex-boyfriend John Carter. He had too many tatoos for me. Now I have my husband,Norman, and two great boys. Larry is 14 and Greg is 8. I have returned to school after a long vacation and now studing computer networking. I watch my children like a hawk and know everything they are going to do because hey I did it in the PI. I now look back at that time and remember that of all the places I lived at, I felt safe and happy there. Of all the crazy things I did in Carmenville and then on the Hill, Hey I made past the age of 30. I really would like to find Paula (Michelle) Seifert, Debbie Covington, and Jane Simmons. I know it might be a long shot but like they say here in Florida, Any thing can happen. Thanks for the chance to remember my last great HURRAH! |

Academy! (Go Vanguards! :) I only visited Clark airbase twice: Once in 1983 when I was on the Faith JV Basketball team. (Can't remember who's house I stayed at but he had a neat Pioneer system!) Just after the big Pinatubo eruption I was back in the Phillipines for a month. I went up to Angeles for a day and also visited Clark. It was no pretty sight. Hope everyone got out alright. |

| Comments: | Can't believe that it's been a quarter of a century since someone handed me that diploma and released me from the high school blues. When I heard about this web site from one of our other class mates Patrica Boyd I couldn't believe the pictures she said she had seen on here!! What a trip down memory lane! Some of it wan't all that easy to remember either. But I do remember some of the really good times that we all shared those years back then including the Ophan Air lift and the return of the POW's. I was lucky enough to have worn a braclet from one of the returning POW's and had the oportunity to to go and meet him when he returned. It was definetly a great experience for me. Just ten years ago I got the chance to meet him again when he came to town and spoke at the Vietman Veterans Moving Wall which came here to Laramie and we got the chance to exchange old stories and catch on new ones. Going to school in the Philippines was an experience that has reflected on many things in my life these past 25 years and it really was great to have been able to shared in so many of those things because of it. The ophan lift was an experience that many of us took part in back then and I remember many of those young people donating their time and energy trying to make those children comfortable in the flight from Vietnam. I know that for many of you who where there it was also a period in your lives that you will never forget. Most of you probably won't remeber me but may remember my brother Michael Olsen who graduated in 75' and or his good friend Gary West. Both are doing very well, Michael is a minister living in L.A. and Gary is an officer in the Air Force. I myself have been living in Wyoming for the past 11 years and also did a stint in the military as well for 6 years. I have two kids, one boy who is now 23 and in the Air Force and a daughter 16 who loves to ride horses. I've been extremely lucky and have been married to greatest guy for over 20 years now who was a marine in 'Nam. And since you all are aware of what happens when you mix Wing-nuts with Leather Necks you can understand what kind of lively conversations can take place. I hope that all you 74's out there are doing as well and if someone need to get a hold of me I can be reached through my e-mail address. Nice talking to you all. |

| Comments: | Hi, I'm Sharon McBride (some friends called me Binky). I attended 7 & 8 grade in 67-69. I remember Dianne Arnold, Mike Parks, Bill Potter, Lele Smith, Jody Natale, Bob Powell(?), Terry Buck, another boy that was in the hospital for quite a long time with an infection from falling off play equipment. I remember Mrs. Boaz and a health teacher who wore two different colors of eyeshadow-one for each eye. We lived near the Teen Center and I was active in PYOC. I have a brother, class of 74, Jim McBride, who used to ask my friends to dance (he was in sixth grade) and then run away when they agreed. He is still obnoxious but loveable. My sister, Chris, was born in the PI and was 1.5 years old when we left in 69. This site is wonderful -- I should have gone to bed hours ago but can't get enough. I have vague memories of names that I have seen on the list. What a great idea and I'll check in often. The Clark AFB experience was extraordinary because of Vietnam (we saw daily buses of wounded soldiers), living in a foreign land with an unstable political situation and families coming and going constantly. I will never forget JOHN M. (?). As eighth graders, he and I and two other girls took Spanish at the High School and one day he came to school and said his father, a helicopter pilot, was KIA and he had to leave in 24 hours. We have all shared life changing experiences from living at Clark and while I sometimes hated it, it is a signicant part of my life. |

And those thanks go to SHAWN DRISCOLL, as well, who isn't yet in the alumni directory -- and many others as well. MIKE and SHAWN were just crazy enough to come to my house a week or so after Dad died, in the POURING MONSOON RAINS of July 1972, and drag me to the outdoor movies at the parade field. Only we didn't sit in the stands ... we floated on air mattresses in a half foot of water on the parade field!! You guys helped get me through it all! And if you're out there ...
