Pork Asado


Pork Asado (Philippine Pork Roast)

ingredients:  3/4 cup broth or water            1 tsp. salt
                    1/3 cup soy sauce                2 cloves garlic, crushed
                    1/3 cup brown sugar              1 1/2 lbs. whole pork loin or
                                                                    any pork roast

Directions:  Season pork roast with a little salt and pepper.  Then heat a large pan with two tbsp. of oil, brown the roast on both sides.  When meat is golden brown place the broth, soy sauce, sugar and garlic.  Simmer in medium heat for at least an 1 1/2 hours or until tender.  If sauce gets dry add a little broth.  Slice and serve with steamed white rice and your choice of vegetables.
