California '99

the great California '99 reunion is history.  As with all our reunions though, it will not soon be forgotten.  I will be receiving photos over the next few days, but in the mean time you can see some of my photos at:  http://www.whoa.org/reunions/99ca/  These pics were taken from video, so their quality is marginal.  The good pics will be added as I receive them so please be patient.

With 40+ attendees, it closely approached major proportions.  We had folks and their families from all over the west including Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and of course, Northern and Southern California.  We also had most class years represented from '65 to '91.

From an activities and entertainment aspect, it compared well to any of our previous reunions.  We partied everyday, had great sightseeing opportunities, excellent talent shows and demonstrations, and a wonderful dinner on Saturday.

The hotel accommodations at the Inn of Lompoc were good, and they provided us with meeting areas and lots of freebies.  Drinks and food were free for both Happy Hour and breakfast.  Prices were very low.

The Saturday night dinner and entertainment at the Vandenberg AFB O'club was excellent!

Others will fill in the details better than I can, so look for great posts from them.

Huge thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped make this, our second annual California reunion, such a success.  Special thanks to Arlene and Belden Granada, Jo Kristol, the "lava lava girls"  and Wendy Sevenandt.

For those of you who couldn't be there, you were not forgotten, and you were certainly missed.  We will keep a light on for you at the next get together.

we danced for Gaye, Susan, Jim, Jen, Gary, Lena, Roggy, and Ky
we ate and drank for VJ and Ron
we laughed for Kandy, Warren, Jim, Joe, Rosalie, Dianne, Rick, and Debbie
    we shared memories for everyone

Finally, to those of you who attended, I will miss your company and friendship, but I know I will see you again.  In the words of several folks who attended their first reunion "I will never miss another
reunion again!"
