The Learning Channel (TLC) featured Wurtsmith Memorial/Wagner HS in its Reunions program.  Episode #17 "Wagner High School" was filmed in California and South Carolina in the summer of 1998, and included great coverage of the Charleston Reunion.  The program was first broadcast on Thursday, 8 October 1998 with plans to air the show 5 or 6 more times during 1998.

 TLC Reminder-10/8/98

just a reminder that the Learning Channel's (TLC) "Wagner High" Reunion Program will premier tomorrow/today at 1300 Eastern (1000 Pacific), Thurs. 8 October on cable TV.

I just received a commercial-free copy of the program (Episode #17) and I think it turned out very well.  It should be a good promotion for Wurtsmith/Wagner and the WHOA.

This program features the great Charleston Reunion and the kids of the '50s and '60s.  You will see many of the characters from that time period including Dianne, Mary, and Dennis Senn, Kandy and Dee Anna Simpson, Ruth and Jim Kent, the Kucklick brothers, the Ostlins, the Char sisters, Jerry Long, Tom Sellers, Donna Smith, Barbara Long, Vicki Niedenthal, the Faulhaubers, Marv and Judy Weaver, Gary McQuaid, Warren Turner, Dusty Austin, and many many more.  You will also see some great candid shots of the "kids" Gary McClellan and Jenny Cranfill.

"Where or When" Dion and the Belmonts

my mother and i just finished watching and cried the whole time - it was beautifully done - exceptional and made me excited
all over again.  the tlc group did a splendid job - my many, many thanks to all of them!  those of you who couldn't be home to watch the show first hand missed the butterfly stomach and slight trembles as the pre-empt was on - then the...show!  gosh it was just wonderful!  of course tom (hubby) taped the show so we can show all the relatives (including susan just in case her vcr didn't work right) so we get to see it over and over and over again!  john you did such a great job, you too dianne and becky was so cute!  it went well - really well.

 FalconFolk --

What a hoot!!!  It was wonderful -- we ARE wonderful!!! JohnBoy, you were so eloquent when recalling memories of Clark. What a trip -- it took me back to this past July in Chaz and even further back to days at Clark.  FLJeff, you looked mahvelous (so too, your terrific brothers)!!! (Bet you are watching TLC even as we speak.) Kandy and Dee, what a fabulous duo; Dianne and the other Senns, what a family!  Too much fun reliving Chaz!!!

Go Falcons!! What a hit -- bet the networks pick it up as a primetime series!!!

"Till Then" the Classics

 Hello
Hi John,

I was sitting around on a thursday morning surfing the net and channel surfing my tv as well and I came across your reunion on tv. You looked very happy to be with all your old friends sharing all your life's experiences so far!   Anyway I just wanted to write you and say I got a little choked up when I saw the show and as you drove away to "The Prom" I saw the web site address on the back window of your car and I wanted to visit your site.
If you ever decide to come to Las Vegas by yourself or with a group of your reunion friends ck out our web site www.laraashandinferno.com find out where we are playing and stop by and say hello.  I did the site but I'm not in the band my Fiancee' Lara is the singer. They do a lot of 50's/60's stuff and would love to play any requests you might have.
Thanks for making my week a more enjoyable one. I don't expect an RE or anything just wanted to say hello!  Gary Sauer milkyway@vegasnet.net
