        I am trying to find out some information concerning a hill that was named after my father.

My father was Raymond F. McGee, Jr. He was a 2nd Lt. of Infantry in WWII with the Americal Division.

He participated in the liberation of the Phillipine Islands. He was awarded a Bronze Star for singlehandedly 

taking out a Japanese machine gun nest and saving much if not all of the lives of his platoon. In his honor,

they named the hill after him, McGee Hill. My nephew, a postal carrier, met a man that knew of this hill and

told him that it was located just outside of Clark Airforce base where he had been stationed. I am trying to 

determine if this hill still carries his name and its precise location. Any help or leads to someone who

might know would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My name is Scott McLaughlin.  I am living in Kearney, NE and attending the Univ. of NE at Kearney.  I am a 42 yr old non-traditional student in my last year as a multimedia design student.  I am taking a summer class and am starting a project that brings me back to Clark AFB when my father was stationed there.

I attended WHS in 1972-73 as a freshman.  (My goofy picture is on pg 141 of the '73 Fledgling.)  I have elected to complete a project on Operation Homecoming for our Vietnam POW's.  I've had correspondence with Marilyn Holmlund mailto:holmlund@seamonkey.ed.asu.edu and she thought you might be able to help.

Here's my idea.  I am going to assemble an interactive multimedia piece to include images from the 1973 events at Clark.  I will use Photoshop, Flash, Director, and other tools as needed to assemble the project.  The only images that I have are pictures from my yearbook.  Marilyn has those on her website http://seamonkey.ed.asu.edu/~holmlund/, but I'm wondering if you know of anyone who would have been at Clark in 1973 that would have taken any photos.

I would return any photos sent to me, and would give full credit to the photographer(s).  In addition if anyone has any special memories of those days, I would also like to use their quotes in my presentation.

While I was there, I also worked as a Red Cross volunteer at the base hospital while the returnees were being processed.  If anyone has stories of those times, that would also help.  Actually anything would help.  I am very pressed for time, as this is only a five week class.  I will turn in the project for a grade, and then will probably fine tune it afterwards before we publish it to the web.  I have already told Marilyn that she can use it on her site.

I sure wish I could make the trip back to the PI for the reunion, it would be so much fun.  Someday I hope to make it back with my family.  I have many great memories of the islands; Baguio, Long Beach, Manila, and many other places and stories to numerous to mention.

I was med-evaced to the Clark AFB hospital in July 1966 from Vietnam.  I’m looking for an ABC-TV documentary about a wounded soldier’s exodus from Vietnam to the U.S. via Clark Air Force Hospital, Philippines during the war.  It was called ‘To Save a Soldier” and was filmed in 1966.  It was shown on TV in the U.S. in 1966 & 1967.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank You, H.W. I am researching and writing a book about the life stories of Amerasian who have American fathers and Filipina mothers.

 I want to steer clear of political/legal issues such as rights to U.S citizenship and child support etc. and concentrate entirely on how it IS and FEELS to be one of these kids (or adults) and/or a parent of one.  What is their history? How and where do they live? Are they educated... working? Do they have an identity, feel accepted? What does the future holds etc.

What a pleasant surprise (although it should not be ... the internet is amazing) to find your site. I was looking for
something I purchased while I lived at Clark Air Base from the summer of 1986 to the summer of 1989 (my husband was one of a handful of army officers stationed there, working for a joint services organization ... his name is Jim Droskinis).

Anyhow, I volunteered at the Officers' Wives shop "The Mad Money Mart" and purchased many lovely things from there myself. However, one which I admired, but purchased while on a weekend trip to Hong Kong was Rice China. Lovely porcelain or ceramic blue and white dinnerware with either a dragon or a daisy pattern in the middle, and grains of raw rice embedded in the dinnerware.

I have searched the net in vain looking for somewhere to purchase more of this as mine are gradually becoming chipped and broken.

If you can send me any information about this product I would appreciate it. Meanwhile I will send the link for your site to my husband, now retired since last May, because we know of one friend who still lives there, but would like to track down a few more.

Clark AFB fan and map aficionado is looking for a fairly recent aerial photo of the base (now Special Economic Zone).  Prefer a "straight-down" view, such as an "ortho photo" but anything will be considered.  I need something that is detailed

I was at clark 55-56 and 60-61. Was assigned 6200th Motor Vehicle Sq lst tour and then 6925th Radio Sq Mobile second tour. Somewhere on this Site they list  3 units. I would recommend that you list the 6925th (Later 6922 Security Gp).

Since I just started going thru the Site that Gary sent me, I haven't had time to look at it all yet. Lots of good info here. I am thinking of writing a letter to WHOA asking for old clothes or used toys to be donated to an orphanage located in the subdivision where I live. It houses mostly unwed mothers and abused women and abandoned kids from infants to teeners more than 30 people in the home. It is called DUYAN NI MARIA ( crib of Mama Mary) and it is run by a nun.

I am searching for all former personnel that were assigned to the 581st Air Resupply and Communications Wing or Group from 1952 until 1954.  We are planning a Reunion at the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio in September 2000.  The 581st Ait Resupply and Communications Wing as well as the 581st Air Resupply Group was stationed at Clark AB.  The Wing arrived at Clark in 1952 and was reduced in strength in 1953 becoming a Group at that time.  In 1954, the Group moved to Kadina AB.

I'm Mike States '58 trying to make contact with anyone who was at Clark in the time period near 26 April 1955.
Nancy Payne was a young child that received a Salk Polio vaccine inoculation on that day as did I and my brother Roger States '59. Nancy also got polio from that vaccination. She still suffers from progression of the disease today. The National Vaccine Compensation Program may possibly provide her with assistance for future medical expenses beyond what insurance pays. The stumbling block at this time to receiving qualification, is Nancy does not have documentation as to who the Manufacture of the vaccine was (such as a Shot Record or other medical proof of the manufacturer). Nancy has been documenting the whole case for seven years and now needs this assistance which could put her in line for qualification.
Would anyone with any information about this inoculation or names of anyone who could shed any light on it, please email me and I will pass it on to Nancy.

I did not attend Wagner, however I was stationed at Clark two different times. The last time was from late 1959 until late 1961. I was attached to the 608th Communications Sqdn., part of the 5th Communications and Control Group which was located next to the School. I have a picture of a Miss Ann Adrian who won the "Miss stadium Stomp" title in conjunction with the Clark-wide AFA Falcon Stadium fund campaign, This picture is from the base paper "Philippines Flyer". Members of my Group are shown congradulating her. I would be happy to send you a copy if you would like it and also send her a copy if she is one of your members that you have contact with.
Also I am looking for any information on any members of the Group or Sqdn mentioned above. I am trying to locate some of the members I served with. I have great memories of Clark.

Looking for the Wagnerite who was on the Korean DMZ in 1974 and picked up a lone American GI hitchiking back to his post on the line. This person worked with psy ops and mentioned sending fixed transistor radios by baloon, into N. Korea. The meeting was special because there were very few Americans in that sector and none would have been hitchhiking. (I had carried our injured dog down to an aid station). The lush vegetation had brought on the resemblance to the P.I. What would be the odds of two wagnerites meeting out there? I would like to tell him how that ride saved my butt in many ways.
