Memories from David Baker (father)
Submitted on 8/28/06

I am the father (David Baker) of Brian Baker (class of 92) who died in a single motorcycle accident in Las Vegas in Jan 2006.  He lived on Clark from 1981-84 where he attended Grissom  and Lily Hill Elementary Schools.  He returned in 1988 and attended Wagner Middle School and then Wagner High School.  Before he graduated he returned to the US in 1990.

Memories from Michael Breeden '88

I had a great experience at Wagner and beyond, with whom we shared feelings and thoughts about many things in our lives. It was unfortunate that after a year and no contact except to send a Christmas card that her family sent me the disturbing news of her death. She was brutally murdered on Dec 14, 1996, two days short of her 1st wedding anniversary. I lost contact with her after her wedding invitation. I wish there was something more that I could have done to save her. I miss you, Steph.

My brother, David Emil Olson, died on 10 APR 03, unexpectedly, while in Spang dahlem, Germany, where he lived since leaving Scott AFB, IL in 2000.

My brother is married to my beautiful sister-in-law, Rachel and has a little boy, David II, who was born in October, 2002 and looks just like him.
Our family lived in The Philippines from the time David was 5 years old in 1979 until he turned 14 in 1987.  David never attended Wagner High, however, did attend Grissom Elementary and Lily Hill Middle School liked to keep up with what everyone was up to via this web site.  I think that he would have wanted his friends to know of his passing.
Not only did I lose a hilarious, caring and smart little brother, but I also lost one of my best friends.  If you were a friend or acquaintance of David's (or our family's) and would like to know more about David, please feel free to contact me by e-mail at swee_ti@sbcglobal.net

'm sorry to share the news that one of our fellow Clark AB kids passed away recently. Amanda Gasser (then Lane) (http://www.myspace.com/mom2addison) lost her fight to breast cancer on February 5. Many of you remember Amanda and her fellow siblings, longtime Clark residents who attended Wagner Middle and Wagner High. She was wife to Shawn and mother to Addison. More information about Amanda's journey and a guestbook can be found on her CaringBridge page (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/amandagasser). Please note that you must register an email address to access her page. Our hearts and prayers go to Amanda's family. --Phoebe de la Cruz '94

Excerpts from posts on Amanda's CaringBridge journal & MySpace blog (http://blog.myspace.com/mom2addison):

Her journey is over. Our sweet Amanda...beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, is no longer in pain. She slipped away peacefully in her sleep early this morning. She has been in such pain for 2 and a half years, and now, she is free. Free of the body that had been eaten away by this horrible disease.

For those of you wanting to make donations, you can make them to Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL or this CaringBridge site in honor of Amanda. [Links added below.]

We have made plans for a Memorial Service to be held on February 28th, Amanda's Birthday, at 1 p.m. here in Harmony, Florida.... at the Golf Club Banquet Hall. If you have any questions, please contact me (her sister Sarah) at jmoen@verizon.net.

Matthew almost died in my arms September 4, 1991 after being sideswiped.  We shared wonderful times at Clark and at Wagner.  He was a wonderful person and he is missed dearly by friends and family.  We are fortunate that a part of him is still with us.  On April 24, 1992, we had a son -- Vincent Anthony Woolery. I know that some people heard it was just a rumor.  Unfortunately it is not...but let us keep him in our hearts forever.

On September 4, 2001, it will be his 10 year death anniversary and for those of you who knew him or
remember him please light a candle in his memory.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,
I'm writing to you all with tragic news.  The loss of a fellow  class-mate and good friend Chris Torrence. He was killed Friday morning  in a car accident in AL.  Many of you don't know him but know his sister Stephanie .  I just wanted everyone to know a little something about Chris.  He was always out-going and easy to talk too.  He was the first one to help when you needed it.  He always made me laugh, if it wasn't a goofy looks then it was trying to beat me in what ever we did. Chris was very kind hearted after you got passed the tough guy image.  To sum it all up Chris was a good friend and I will deeply miss him.  As, so many other people will.

Please, pray for Chris and is family .  Stephanie, baby you and your family are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.......

Sorry, to be the barer of bad news. Everyone pls. wear your seat-belts. Take care, be safe and God bless......Ikie
