The Virgin's last hours!!! SA Here I come.
Okay.....it's Friday morning (7:14am); got a good nights rest, but what a night.  I packed a suit case that looks like I'm going back to the P.I. Scrap books, year books, photos, etc......brought back so many memories.  I packed nervously not knowing what to bring, what to wear.....do I wanna be cute or comfortable.  Finalized plans with Diane, John and Bull to pick me
up.....I recall Bull mentioning a car seat......I see you guys aren't gonna let me live my "am I too young phobia" alone this weekend, eh??  That's all right, bet I can handle it!!!!  First time all week I stayed in; figured I might need a good nights rest.  Talked to Sharon Robnett '86 and Deluca Thurmond '86 who are living in the SA area; hopefully they'll be at the
reunion or we'll hook up for a few hours while I'm there.  Got more excited!!!  My first reunion......WOW.....I wonder if I'll make it through the day.  I'm so anxious!!!!  Okay, Wagnerites........get ready.....HERE I COME!!!!!

Special Thanks to Diane Edleman Lowrey '69 and SA Reunion 99 Organizers
It may take another couple of weeks to catch my breath, but that's too long before taking this opportunity to thank Diane and her helpers for making last weekend one that I will remember forever.  About the only thing that would make it better is if I can get "forked" like John.

For those who missed it, for those thinking about going in the future and for those who don't even know about this yet, I can't wait to see you next year.  To my classmates and new found friends, it is an experience I will treasure forever and I'm so thankful for being part of this increable experience...

(ps> for those who asked about Shelley and Teri (Roth), they will be at San Diego 2000)

Again Diane, Thank You for your tireless work and excellent planning.

Dear Mike,  So glad to see your post today. It was great meeting you.
One of the Lost LADIES     LOL  Watch for the whole story!!!
Well, you beat me to it.I too wanted to thank Diane for her hard work.We took her out last night for her birthday and she was a bit melancholy that all came to an end. This I think we all believe is just a beginning! It was great meeting you and spending time with you. Take care of yourself and hope to see you next year. Mary Senn"66

I'm with Ron and his lovely wife.
Bravo, Diane, Bravo. Whatta reunion. Whatta production. I will also write more detail later. I thought Phoenix was the greatest, but this one was just as good. I was soooooo glad to finally meet some of the 60's crowd.  One of them, Gary McVay turned out to be our neighbor from directly across the street in Marisol, Angeles City. Diane, once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The bartenders at SA
DarbyDLL@aol.com writes:

<< Frank the bartender in the Pub wants to be adopted into our Alumni.  >>
Hey Diane : I think John the bartender on Sat night should be adopted also.  He was the only person on staff in the bar.  We bombarded the place at 12:20 am Sat and didn't leave until we were kicked out at 2:20 am. He also paged the "Charlie Daniels" type Mariachi band from the Riverwalk to come and serenade the group.  I had a great time thanks to your efforts and everyone else who put this reunion together. This was my first Wagner reunion and it won't be the last.
Thank-you    Cheryl Saylor 75

One of my fondest memories of this reunion will be of Cheryl Saylor giving me the "Wagner Wave" at every opportunity. She would be across the ballroom, we'd catch each other's eye and she and her terrific husband would give me that wave. I'd be walking in the main hallway of the St. Anthony...i'd hear, "hey, Belden." I'd turn and look and there they are waving again. I began to look around in anticipation every time i'd enter a room or the pub at the hotel.

Cheryl, it was just the best to see you again after all these years.  This sounds kinda funny to me, because I do not remember our knowing each other back then. I'm so very glad that you and Nancy Ward and my classmate from those times - Lena Davis Carlucci  - are folks from the past that I can call friends once more. Nancy stopped me dead in my tracks Saturday by telling me she remembered what a little snot I was.

Ooooh my, my ... now I can only imagine what Nancy would say 'bout me. You a "snot" -(?)- hard to believe Belden.  Sure wish I coulda been there to see Nancy at the PJ party, although I s'pose her PJ's didn't have furry feet and a flap in the back (and don't none-o-you DaryQueens/Kings go reading too far into that now!)...

Ross,

Your name and the story of you and your wife were brought up many times. You were missed and thought of. Now, start saving for San Diego...it's only hours from you, so no excuses.

You, my friend were sorely missed, especially on Saturday night.  We danced one for you.   Now what is Rule 32???  I broke it no matter what it is.   And if I didn't then I will next year.
Kandy
Rule 32 states that "Wagnerites are not allowed to hug more than 10 people per minute, or hold a hug for longer than 20 seconds"  This is to prevent back and shoulder pain and help the excited Wagnerites to pace themselves.   It also helps prevent reunionitis until the wanning hours of the weekend.

I am sure all you  early 60's types violated this rule .

Thanks for dancing one for me.
