Reunion -- An awsome job
Dianne Senn Mendel

Thanks so much for the hard work you put in on this reunion. It was very evident in the way things ran.

Nancy and I had a great time. The accomodations were great, the food was great. (Thanks for not having chicken at the banquet.) I only wish the dance could have lasted longer. There was so much music that we missed. Oh well! may be next time.

We hope to come back to Charleston again to see more of the city.

Thanks for the memories.

don't forget the kleenex!
Dianne, when you set up the registration room and go to the lounge on thursday nite, don't forget the big boxes of tissues -- there will be tears flowing for sure. When I did the DC reunion in '96, it was really moving even when I was just watching other people meet and hug and shriek! This year, with the pre-60's folks having their first reunion I'm pretty sure that I, for one, am likely to end up pretty weepy-eyed after watching for a while. However, in case you forget, I plan to come prepared with my own pockets stuffed full of those little packets of tissues.

We're Home!
Lewis (Butch) Nelson (59) sends this after returning from Charleston: (Jean '59)

Thank you for all the efforts getting us all there and for preparing the recognition gifts. You are a very thoughtful person.

We need to get the "kids" straight...the Bombers existed before the Falcons. Did you know that the name of the school before it was Wurtsmith, was Clark Air Force Base Elementary School? When CAFB went to Clark Air Base the name was changed to CAB Elementary School. Can't remember (my usual statement) when Wurtsmith came along.

IT WAS WONDERFUL.

Only bad thing was that the last roll of film we loaded didn't advance. Thirty-six exposures of nothing.
